Well, I think its about time that I give in, and do some glass work in the kicks. Im wanting to do a 7 or 8 in the doors for the midbass, midrange, and tweet in the kicks. I am wanting relatively small drivers, because I got to have my leg room.

This is what I am thinking right now

I have been blowing countless amounts of money on audio, and why stop now

I am sick of settling for less on my front stage, and I want something that I will be 100% pleased with, also, I need louder aswell. So, what ya think?

I have thought many times about doing an active three way but I have always been steered away from it because of the difficulty. I hear it is absolute hell to get it to sound right because of the competing 6 drivers. But on the other I have heard it's absolute bliss when you find the sweet spot. Personally I'm not confident enough in my abilities of tuning to make a three way frontstage work. I'm thinking about doing a three way passive in the FJ, but not active.
If your up for it good luck man! I wish you luck! Hopefully it's not as bad as I have heard.

read about the trio from CSS? there's a review over on DIYMA with that against a peerless SLS8, and... well, let's just say they appear to like power
the 830986 is the peerless brother of the vifa TG9 I have, they're very nice.
For tweets - I'd also check out the Seas 27TFFNC/Gs, if you need small format.

The css sounds interesting, but I do not have a ton of power to dispose of.. The theme to this setup is efficiency. I need some pretty decently loud mids.

If you are looking to keep the budget down, I have been thinking about moving to a 3-way myself and had some ideas.
SEAS Neo Textile Tweet
TB Underhung Neo 3" Mid
Mach5 Audio MLI-65 Mid-bass.
That set up would reach very smoothly from 45hz and up. Would be sweet, cheap and clean.
