Anyone Else Need Some Spring?

So I am thinking ahead a few months to spring...and I hope this doesn't just fall by the wayside like my other ideas : (.
I have an RSd 500.4 and an RSd 12 that are still waiting to be installed because every time they are, losers are knocking on my car windows to see if they can rob me but I was thinking since I have a left over ti12d elite sub from the Colt, that I MIGHT pick up an RSd 1200.1 and throw the Elite sub in with the RSD 500 on the RSd comps and RSd coaxes in the rear if I can fit them...and then I would have the box bolted down by a shop most likely.
You guys think that would sound fine or you think the RSd speakers would sound better if I kept the setup ALL RSd?
I may have trouble getting the coaxes and comps mounted due to depth issues but I am hoping they might work.

hmmm...interesting...I'll just let ya know that for ME...the 1200.1 (used a tantrum and titanium separately to play the elite) was NOT enough power for me. The Titanium will eat it up! And needs a bit more. So depending on what you are trying to get out of your elite sub....it may not be worth doing that to.
But if you are just trying to add? I dont think getting a 1200.1 to run your elite would give you a huge benefit...IMO....Another RSD or RSDC.....might be a better/cheaper fit?!

Yea from all the discussions and reading that I have read in this phorum, either you go with an Ti elite woofer and almost 2000 rms to run it well. Now they say that the Ti elite can hit LOOOWWW and real low and sound great. I wouldnt doubt it either by looking at the magnet of that monsterous thing. However, I believe that if your looking for all around SQ the rsdc subs hold up very well to other subs. I know that I had my single rsdc124 and when powered with just my rsd600.1 and people were impressed with it. Now I just can't wait to drop in my xenon 1200.1 powering 2 rsdc124 I know that its going to pound my chest and also hit every note that I throw at it and sound good while doing it. Also I think the ti elite is for someone that is going all Ti in their setup like cojones and also wants their sub to be Ti. I was doing some research on getting Ti because it looked like a sick ass sub but I listen to a wide range of music and I felt that the rsdc sub would blend better with the wide variety of music. I am glad I went my route. Not trying to sway you or anything. I'm sure that Tom could chip in because I believe I am the one who took his advice and also read up some of his stuff he said about the Ti vs rsdc subs. Maybe you could use the search and try to find some good write ups.

The regular RSD subs are no slouch either. I recommend you install what you've got, and see how you like it. Those subs are like mini-elites
My rec is to use your stock HU and speaker locations. Keep your car low key, and don't go cranking bass around your neighborhood.

^^ Agreed, keep a low profile and don't go showing off your setup. I based much of my install on retaining the factory look so potential theives were less inclined to break in. I also installed locks on my false floor and bolted my amps down with nylock nuts on the backside so that removing them would be next to impossible. (It makes it a hassle to install but in my mind worth the added protection.)

Given the fact that I haven't had bass in a very long time, I am positive the RSd getting it's 250 watts off the other half of my 500.4 will be plenty. Also I won't have to spend any money to do that : ).
I just wish I had a use for this old Ti12d : /.
Only bad thing no matter which way I go is I have to mod the dash slightly using a part from Japan to fit a normal headunit. It is just the japanese spec dash bezel for my car but a smart thief might still be able to tell. I may at least do a less flashy headunit and sell my pioneer 7800 dvd. Even though I love that unit, it is a huge pain to run it's wires and may look too upgraded for someone to ignore and not think there was something else within. At least this time the first thing I did was have the Compustar alarm installed. I have a sweet Clarion unit from like 05, 955MC, it has all of the sound manipulating ability that the Pioneer 7800DVD does, but at least when the face is off, it could pass for a basic headunit.
Just for the record, I did run 2 12d elites each powered by 1 RSd1200 in an old car and I thought it sounded good but any one of you may not have thought the same. I will stick to the RSd, just afraid the elite will never have a use.
I need the snow to stop, I can't stand CT any more...thinking about future car audio is the only thing I can do to get thru this winter without going crazy.
Thanks for your input.
