Cost of repainting

Anyone know about how much it would cost to take something like a dd5 and repaint it white, and have the logos and text and stuff screened back on, or however it is done?

Used to be PG would do those sort of things.

Check locally. Have someone paint it then take it to a screen printer. There are lots of screen printers around my town. Screen printer may have the capability to paint as well.

screen printers can do it - if they are equipped to do those sort of things absolutely! HOWEVER, I have come across screen printers that only do textiles as it does require a different type of screen and ink to print on various materials... it only makes sense that screen printers have/do it all (acrylics, metal, etc...) but some are just not prepared to do all sorts of surfaces... primarily becasue of the different equipment/inks that are involved and it's actually a different process... take acrylics for example: you cant run those through the conveyer for drying you have to let them sit for a day or so before running/printing other colors... nice thing about what you are trying to do is that it is only one color... but will have to have screens made up and have the artwork "Job Ready" as they say/call it.

CAN BE DONE! But to keep costs down and ease for printer you would have to have the art work the way you want it.. if it is in vector then you're golden, if not then you have to have exactly the size you want it printed... See in vector they can make a 50" screen w/ the artwork or a 5" screen w/ your artwork...

I might be able to help out a little.. as I have some stuff already vector. I have PG Surfer logo in vector and Phoenix Gold in vector,etc... but I dont have the cover(s) for DD5 in vector and how the lay out is or how you would like it... But can be done.

just my .02 and my understanding of how things work... yo might be able to find a printer that will screen (expose artwork to film) w/o it being vector... but I havent as of yet...

that's one of things that takes time with these things.. is the redrawing/tracing of original artwork to make it exactly like what you are after...
