can you bass cube a single 4chan amp?

Post by scorpio86 »

basically.. im trying to run an eq and a bass cube and im workin' with a single 4chan amp, bridging rear channels to run a single woofer, and the fronts to run a set of components. is the bass cube just good for running a dedicated sub amp or will it work in this setup? thanks!

I assume your amp has front and rear inputs? If so, you just put that basscube in line before the rear (sub in your case) inputs and tune it appropriately.

its the tantrum 600.4 so ok cool, cuz in the manual it shows it with a dedicated woofer amp, and i thought i should be able to do it with my amp but i just wanted to double check before i got too in depth and realized i couldnt! lol

It helps to visualize your 4-channel as two 2-channel amplifiers. The only question is how to divide the signal out of the eq (I'm assuming EQ230 style). Y-cables?
