what up i'm new to the forum and car audio. I just picked up a x1200.1 xenon amp and a ti elite 12d in a custom box. First question my leds won't light up on the sub,is there a certain way to turn them on(the sub pounds fine it would just look a lot smoother with it lit up)? Second, can i throw another x1200.1 to the 1 sub without blowing it? thanks for any advise.

First off, welcome to the family!

Second, the LED's on the sub have to be powered by a 12 volt source, just like the remote turn on for the amp. What you need is for your radios remote turn on lead to turn on a relay with a twelve volt power source. That relay can power your sub and the LED's.

C, you CAN run 2400 watts to the sub, but be DAMN careful to set your gains correctly so as to not clip, and have them gain matched. One amp to each coil. Please be careful with this. It would be better for you to just get another 1200.1 AND another Elite 12d.

Welcome, like previously stated the ti elite will take the power but you must gain match your amps very precisly so that both voice coils are getter the same power. It should be possible with a multimeter. As long as you keep the signal clean you are good to go. I have heard many people say that the elite loves big power. I myself have never heard one, but from what my little IDmax does for a single 12 I could imagine it could move your guts. Great to see new people, hope you get as much from this place as I have.

Thanks for the welcome. how would you throw a 12 volt power source to the sub to light the leds? i was thinking about getting another ti elite and a x1200.1, but i've read the ti can pound harder with more power and how they're are power hungry. I just want to get the most out of the sub and if it sounds good with 2 xenons then i might get 2 more ti elites with 4 more xenons. Thanks for the replies and hope to receive more replies.

Yes 12 D Elite is a power hungry BEAST...and sounds BETTER w/ more power.
Welcome to the phorums! Great selection in gear. I ran a TI 1200.1 on a D Elite myself.

And believe me...the sub wanted MORE!

Another question, on the xenon amps they have 2 battery terminals, does it make a different if you use both or 1? i've got both of them hooked up just curious what's the difference(does it hit harder or just take up more unnecessary power from my battery and alt).

If you have your sub wired to anything below 4 ohms it is a lot better to be using both power blocks on the amp. I have my wired to both on the 200.4 in the FJ just in case. If you can wire both of them up it's a lot better for the amp.

As for how to wire up the led's for the Elite take a look at the manual here.

And welcome to the phorum! 8)

Same on US Amps amplifiers....and any amplifier that offers dual inputs for the power and grounds......you will need to use the proper gauge size or you will see no real benefit.

thanks for the manual. the store i got it from didn't have it with a manual. i've got 4 g wires goin to it, is that the right gauge?

AWG 14 = 30 AMPS
AWG 12 = 35 AMPS
AWG 10 = 45 AMPS
AWG 8 = 60 AMPS
AWG 6 = 80 AMPS
AWG 4 = 105 AMPS
AWG 2 = 135 AMPS
AWG 1 = 160 AMPS
AWG 0 = 190 AMPS
AWG 00 = 215 AMPS
AWG 000 = 245 AMPS
AWG 0000 = 275 AMPS

To be on the safe side I would go with a double run of 4 gauge, on to each power block. I have 1/0 run from the battery into a fused distro block then 4 gauge to each power block.
