Like to know what people think, I have both sets in 6.5s the xenons can handle my X200.4 what about the RSDs the wattage rating is way lower. Thoughts ideas help!?!?

they conformed to the new CEA standard when getting the specs for the rsd's

basically....they are as good or better then the xenon's in every way.
the mindbass they have is just silly (good silly) and they are just as clear as the xenons and are easier to install (you probably noticed the huge magnets of the xenon's

although the xenons LOOK way nicer...

I am not so sure that I would rate the rsds as better...they are good and the xover on the xenons suck...but I've pulled the rsds in favor of the xenons....on the 200.4 my rsds were awful without very heavy equalization and wouldn't run flat for shit. I currently have been running xenon drivers active and I would say that there is no comparison as to tonal balence and the xenons run stupid power and sound better for it. I ran a single set of 6.5x on my 200.4 bridged and it was tuned per ac voltage.....everybit of 850 rms and the speakers still sound like new today. the rsds remind me of all their other midrange drivers....the octane and the tantrum runs....they r ok but the xenons imo are they second best actual speaker that pg has made for components....they come close to the ti e's run active....

wow...i think thats the only person i have heard say that.

install environment?

could be because the rsd's i install are typically just a door drop in.

maybe the xenon's come to life in a sealed and or heavily deadened enclosure?

they are podded in my doors and in my deck...intrepid....I hated the xovers from the gate and then burned a few....scrapped the passive altoghter and bought a couple good crossfire active 3ways and it is nice. I am getting ready to run a xenon active 4 way tower in the front with 4 tweets, one four, one 5.25 and two 6.5s in for my front stage run off the m100 side of the outlaw....the m50 will run 2 6.5s for my center bridged in series at 8 ohms....bandit will run tantrum x 5.25s and re audio se 8s all bandpass in the rear deck....3deqs for full delay with over three hundred eq variables and 90 bands of eq with variablable q on each and every band....all active

What is dabor....it isn't all in yet...my intent is to start mine from the ground up again and have it done in 4 weeks...no job equals lots of time. I have been busy with steve and daves cars for a hot minute now...gonna post what is done on steves box tonight with some other stuff that I've been doing in the installs section.

so I've been scouting around for the right subs for the install in my car and just secured a deal on two 15in titanium subs and a tantrum 1200.1...so I now need another tantrum 1200.1 to run an rsdc 12 too...and I've got everything......get these ridiculous boxes out of my shop and I'm ready to start

check out the install area in a few hours and you guys can see what unemployment has done for me!!!!! 8)

so should I use both sets I'll be running 2 X1200.1s one on each Ti12D elite and 2 X200.4s I have 2 sets of X6.5s and 2 sets of RSD6.5s or do I want to run them active of the amp and not use crossovers.

what amps do you have?

you could do one xenon set and then run the rsd 6's as dedicated midbass!
