I had this amp for about 6months and was very disappointed ! My soundstream 10k was a lot louder detect swap ! And so was my pg elite 1 direct swap ! I now have 2 elite 1s strapped at 1ohm and I'm very impressed ! I love the elite amps

Do you still have your "the one" amp? I want it if you do. Lmk.

what were you running on it?

I'm guessing he didn't have enough power to push it. Only thing I can think of.
My amp is much louder than my elite.1.
The .1 is impressive. But the one amp just about killed my dd subs a few days ago. So I'm pretty sure something had to be off .

If you don't have at least a couple batteries and a dedicated 300 amp plus alternator feeding it you're going to have problems. Personally, I would want a pair of 300 amp alternators on it at least, and about 4 good size batteries. Plus, I have been reading reviews on the Soundstream Tarantula 10000D, and it apparently doesn't even do rated power at 14.4v, so there's that too. You can however strap a pair of Elite.1's with a 2 ohm load (8,200 watts rms) off of two 300 amp alternators and two good batteries with room for your full range amps, and keep the voltage stable. The One is going to pull every bit of 1000 amps at a heavy one ohm 12,000 watt load, so if you didn't spend close to as much on batteries and alternators as you did the amp, you're f'ing up.

If you're selling I'm sure someone here will buy it from you though.

I have 2 300 amp alts 4 runs pos 4runs neg of 2/0 gage 4 d3100s and I had 2 of the 1 amps and they both sucked ! My soundstream 10k was way louder direct swap and the 10k is only a 4k amp on 12.4 volt

WOW . I run one off one 300 amp iraggi alt , 4 kinetic bats and i could kill my dd z 18" if i wanted to .. Had mine a long time "Tue Apr 05, 2011 9:44 pm " never one issue.

There was something wrong with his amp.

I've just run mine on my bench so far with four elite12's. I'm scared to turn it up, worried I'll toast my subs.

You can easily push 8 Elite 12's with it.

Not worried about the amp. Worried about the subs.
I would be pretty upset if I damaged them. I don't have enough power yet to get the amp to potential yet. Need a couple more batteries still.
