Re: HELIX XXL POWERSTATION

Post by Jorg »

I have one myself, just needs to be built in. When I bought it, I asked the guy if I can supply 2 amps with only 1 Powerstation. His answer was YES.

But now when I'm reading trough the manual, I can't see anything about that.
Does someone know if that is possible and what is the best option to do that?

This is my setup:

Amp speakers : Butler TDB575 ( 5 x 75W rms @ 4ohm / only using 4 channels )
Amp Subwoofer : Butler TDB275 ( mono 1 x 275W rms @ 4ohm )
Subwoofer : FI IB3 12" ( 4ohm )
Speakers : Scanspeak Revelator 18W ( 4ohm )
Tweeters : Vifa xt300 ( 4ohm )
Deck : Alpine IVA
Processor : Alpine pxa H701
Linedriver : TRU SSLD6
2nd power supply : Northstar 100aH

Helix powerstation : Just needs to be built in.
Cap : Brax E-cap 2 farad. ( needs to be built in )
Cap : Phoenix Gold ( needs to be built in )

The XXL manual states 100 amp. continiously, 200amp. peak; check the total power consumption of your install and you'll have the answer. Great way to get the maximum out of your components using one.
Good luck.

i'm planning to mount up 2 of them in my system, pxa900 2 zpa 0.5 for mid and tw (6,5 inch) and we need to decide wich amp is better on the cyclone (and maybe a small sub to do the higher frequency) btw best config is with a huge capacitor after the 2 powerstation (so sad i sell my powercore 15) well i hope i can fix the leyline of my car soon and post some pics
