Welcome one and all to the FAN OWNED AND OPERATED Phoenix Gold Phorum!
This forum is a haven for all Phoenix Gold and other high end car audio fanatics. Discussions are not to be limited to Phoenix Gold products, or even car audio in general. We are not officially affiliated with Phoenix Gold; this site is hosted and maintained by yours truly, as a service for all of the friends I have made in this great community. We have a carefree, no bullshit environment here, with a great community foundation. Constructive arguments are highly encouraged, but trolling, flaming, and personal insults are not. Please, if you think someone is "calling you out", don't use your primal monkey urges and throw feces at them. Instead, try using your (I hope) well developed forebrain and try to argue the idea rather than the person. This way everyone can learn, agree, or agree to disagree. Personal attacks will get you nothing but ridicule and a ban, so save yourself the effort. Also, when arguing please avoid logical fallacies, and especially straw man arguments! These arguments have a very weak foundation, will not hold up, and only serve to discredit your point.
We all have a wide range of experience, and nobody is ever right all the time. It is better to be "correct" than "right", so if you feel like disagreeing, this is a healthy practice, and the ensuing discussions will be educational for everyone. If I give bad advice, correct me. I will either say "oh damn, I'm an idiot, thanks", or we will discuss our opinions until we get to some sort of conclusion. This way everyone's mother may still retain their dignity.
If you decide to be an asshole, I will give you ample warning. This may be a simple private message or a brief temporary ban to let you cool off, before you are outright kicked from the server. Attempting to circumvent a ban will alert me, and it will only make me lengthen your ban. All open proxy registrants are blocked, so don't try it.
Finally, many of us browse from work. This means that porn will not be tolerated in any way, shape, or form. Swearing is fine in fucking shit ass moderation, but I may lock your threads, edit or delete your posts if you have a serious case of potty mouth.
