New car Install! :D
Update:
I finally completed the kicks, thank goodness that I'll wont have to work with much FG for a while....thats until I begin the front mids/tweeters

Open cell foam. I'll probably will have to play with additional polyfill and/or remove the foam entirely.

I cant wait to listen to them
I will have to make grilles for them as well.
Something I just picked up. I hope to install them this weekend.

As stated above, truly envious of your FG skills! What size are those driver in your kicks? How is the clearance between the clutch pedal and the kick enclosure? It looks like you have plenty of room, but hard to tell 100% from the pics.
XS2300, XS2500, XS2300, X200.4, X100.2, Ti21000.4, Roadster 66
I'm gonna become a civil engineer. I'm gonna design septic tanks for playgrounds. Little kids can take shits! You idiot, what the hell do you do?

Completed sub grille:

I began the front MB grilles as well.
I 'm thinking of not polishing the bevel edge for the fronts, polishing them might be a bit much for the cabin. Im thinking of just clear coating them and as is (second pic)

I painted parts of the mesh black to see which I like more...I'm leaning towards black.

My weakest part is building grilles. Any step-by-step pics on how you did that? I'm going to have to make some for mine later.
Looks awsome mang! I too would go w/the black grilles, polished rings. Helps blend things in.
I'm toying w/the idea or re-doing my A-pillar pods w/a set of Clarion 4x6 plates that I have. I want to see which sounds better, so I'll be hooking them up to do an A/B test.
To much crap going on right now to get much of anything done.

.

I cut those rings the same way I would MDF rings. The only difference is that you have use a lot of wd-40 or some sort of machining coolant or else it wont cut, heat up, and fry the router bit.
Quick Update:
I decided to pull out some of my old Ms to use in the install

Im replacing the DRZ9255 with this the H700/DVA-7996 (but Im having second thoughts and might go with the 9861). It has more features then the DRZ alone. I know i'll regret selling it one day

Sweet install man.................................................
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!
It's more of a , How do you get the grill to attach to the ring? And keep the fit/finish.vin78 wrote: I cut those rings the same way I would MDF rings. The only difference is that you have use a lot of wd-40 or some sort of machining coolant or else it wont cut, heat up, and fry the router bit.

thanks again boys, this car is almost done
:D:D:D finally!
3M double sided tape. I tape an MDF ring to the metal ring just so my chamfer router's baring could ride on it.
This is the stuff I use:

YOu can get them at HD for much less then the ebay link. its super strong and OEM car companies use the same stuff to stick emblems to their car.
I'll take some more pics when I make the grills for the top end drivers.
