I'm going to try something different. I want to use an RSd65 set in conjunction with a pair of RSd3 3.5" midranges for a hybrid active/passive 3 way front stage. Plan is to use the passive between the tweeter and the 3" midrange and then bandpass the 6.5" with my amp's built in crossover.
My car already has provisions for the 3.5 in the upper dash, so this would make a good, yet inexpensive, three way front stage using the RSd.
Thanks!!
RSd65 Comp Set; does passive xover have low pass for mid?

So what you're saying is, chs 1/2 running the 3 1/2" mid, 1" tweet with the xover as a comp set, chs 3/4 running the 6 1/2" mids?
That's exactly what I have done. My RSD tweets blew a while ago so I now have Memphis PR-15 tweets in their place using the RSD xover between the tweets and the PG RSD 3"mid. And the 6 1/2" RSD mid as mid bass.
Yes you can use the xover for your intended use as it is a HP/LP xover.

"ZPA's will have the same sound essentially as you get from the MS, they just feature a bigger shinier set of balls."
