go loud or go home right? I have been accumulating gear for that install for a while. Still need 2 M100's then I will have it all.Hopefully soon will just need 1 as I am dealing on 1 now.

You need MORE amps??
Jeeezuz! God damn, you have too many amps already
Is this your install-vehicle, BTW? I believe so, you need space like this :
thanks for all the comments on how my system is shit- too bad your not hear so you can listen to it- with 14 channels of equalization, I can pretty much do whatever I wish to do-I have an audiocontrol rta mounted in my vehicle.
I suppose I could have a single pair of utopias', for 5 grand and then I would have a hole that you could drive a truck through, and a system that is relatively fragile and expensive to repair- too each their own- I say a lot of cynical crap on my posts- but I have never said that someones idea was totally wrong, especially if I never heard it- I was going to post up the other day, but decided to keep my keyboard quiet- I agree if I had a suburban and had all of this in there would have some time alignment issues- I do not have enough space to have time alignment issues- no driver is more than 4 ft away from me- just my thoughts on the whole thing-

Didn't you use yer meter?
I saw nothing wrong with your setup and would rock it. It might be difficult to tune but I have no doubt that with the equipment in there that your system rivals the sound of anyones on here. Not sure why all those options add up to "out of phase" as someone said above unless it was tunes with someone less then golden ears so maybe you are in the club too. Now go grab a broom and get to it..............
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
thanks toc- but you were not the one that was chapping my ass- as we have had this discussion in system 2.0- now that we are at 3.0 most everything has changed- was at the shop the other day and a golf was in there and they were installing a set of utopias, and a funky woofer set up, any way 10k later I sat in the car and listened to it, and it was very, vvvverrrry disappointing- the install was fine, everything was where it was supposed to be, but ridicously thin- especially for the investment- when you spend utopia focal kind of money you are expecting 'perfection', or at least near perfection- hopefully the owner was buying it for posing, and not sound quality- but it really had nothing going for it, other than staging- pretty difficult to screw that up with 4 drivers in front of you- either way, just tired of folks who have read 3 issues of car audio magazine telling me that I am totally wrong- and this and that are impossible to achieve- Yes I am breaking with conventional wisdom, sometimes you lose and sometime it works out ok-any way buddy, I always respect what you have to say-
Hey Dave sorry you got the feeling that people think your system is shit because its not its a really decent setup. I hope you can just take some peoples criticism and let it go. I only posted my system's specs because I was excited to talk about SQ and SPL. I think yours will sound great and don't put too much though into what other people think anyway its what you like that really matters.

It's threads like these that make running this Phorum all worthwhile.
If I was going for a 140dB setup, I would probably run two ported 10's tuned to 30-40Hz depending on your musical tastes. In my personal experience there's just something about a pair of ported 10's that kicks ass. It retains the snap and blend of a 10, while having a shitload of output on a modest amp. They rock hard!
Just add a comp set with at least half the power you are feeding to the sub, and you should be good to go for a killer SQL setup.
Disclaimer: Tread lightly because what you are about to see is not for tree-huggers, people with heart conditions or anyone that wears panties. you have been warned

Stipud, thanks for chiming in. Your input is always valued!
I too like the impact of a 10" sub, however, what tens would be
