ROFL
I love it. Sorry EricD and ttocs - we have a new contender...
thepolicerhere - here's the deal... old PG amps are kinda special to folks here. We have a tendency to pick them up in various stages of life and various conditions of usefulness... then through the magic of shared knowledge, a lot of know-how and the love of a "thing" we find a way to bring them back to life... sometimes back to the way they were new, and sometimes back into other forms that are much better than the original design.
Now, I understand if all you have ever done is bought Fosgate (or the like) and used/abused then thrown away the piece of garbage when it failed... not realizing that it was your fault it failed when you used drywall screws to attach it to your subwoofer enclosure... only to have its insides rattled out. But thats not how things are done here.
Its obvious to all of us that your angry... probably because you have never had a real high-quality piece of car audio gear that you treated with the respect that it and its engineering deserved and now think that all old gear is crap... its understandable... ignorance rears its ugly head every day and ultimately its how brands like Fosgate, Pyramid, Funky Pup and Pyle have survived for so long...
obviously your the type of person to only buy brand new cars, brand new houses, brand new everything every couple of years and sees no value in the quality of craftsmanship, from a time when labor was cheap and technology was expensive versus the throw-away world we live in now where technology is cheap and labor is expensive.
PG and every other brand out there needs people to buy only new gear every year or two to stay in business. In which case, we all appreciate you and your willingness to constantly and systematically downgrade your car stereo and probably most other things in your life... most of us like to have well made high-end car audio items that far surpass the quality standards of today and are willing to spend our most precious resource to have it... time.
So, what I am really trying to get at here is ... go fuck yourself. Most of these guys have more gold (Phoenix) tucked into their attics and under their floorboards than fort knox. Until you have a clue as to what the fuck you are talking about, go back to caraudio.com or whatever rock douche-nozzles like you crawl out from under.
