Love the car! One of the best handling cars I have ever driven. If I had cash to burn on cars for toys, a 914 would be one of them.

To answer all of your question
My first 914 was that bueatiful color green. actually it was a olive green. I painted all of my equipment to match the car. It really thumped. I dissasembled every piece and hand painted each piece under my front porch. I was probably 18 years old at the time, but i am now 31 and still have all the equipment. in fact i discoverd this forum about a week ago and i LOVE it, even if i should be shot.
I promise to use a better color for my new build, and i have been thinking about taking all the metal to a local powdercoater.
p.s. i just found this thread by using the search function

Ah well... you live and learn. No doubt that was your building block for car audio.. and you know not to go green on Phoenix Gold
hahaha.
I wouldn't doubt the sound capabilities of this setup for a second. That setup would rock! If you've still got it all, either "Titanium" the lot, "Tantrum" the lot, or polish the lot
Or you could go back to PG roots and whiten the lot MS/XZ style.
And believe me, we all got shot somewhere on a forum from learning about audio (or goofing up somewhere and people found out), so don't take it too personal... it's just business

I dont see green anywhere on the car...? was that a step down the road a bit or the blue was a second color...?
oh hey and i do powder coating if you want that gear to be white again or whatever...
but artwork is a challenge still right now- i haven't run any samples with the supplies i have as of yet because i have these two jobs i need to get out of the way ...
welcome to board though!

That has to be one of those thought that, "if it's army green, it can't be seen " theft deterrent things?
How ever you look at it, it's ugly.

hey! do your thing. dude! i never took many picts of any of my stuff till latly. my first was a 88 ranger. i loved it! it had one 3 1/2 in the dash for a long time, but it looked good. i later on was able to afford to put some better stuff into it. if it made u feel good at the time thats all that mattered. even if it looked like shit. good luck on the next one. word of advice RUN! JK
1st car was a 1970 914 I will try to find a pic, but keep in mind, this was 10+ years back, and i was not aware of digital cameras back then, or i could not afford one. The equipment was thrown into the blue car befor i began any restoration at all. These pics are of my current ride with a half assed system (speakers falling apart) things not hooked up, or fastend down.mhyde71 wrote:but wait i'm confused
