well it is on the bottom piece... but i like it!
as for a fun piece - it's pretty cool IYAM
BUT do respect your opinion/taste- it is what it is... no hurt feelings. I like it! and it is good exercise/practice for learning about how to do the larger artwork pieces...

let me finish though by saying that it is a good show of what you can do with your new toy. Obviously I understand that you are trying to use it as much as you can to further perfect this process and I can respect that.

Can't wait to see what happens with this in the future. The possibilities are very exciting.

well thank you ^^ & ^^^/^^
thanks guys!
yes yes... getting the feet wet and learning the ropes is whats happening now.

got a guy that wants a PPI art series amp restored- now that may be a major effort... but we'll have to see i guess

working on cover now... just so you know in advance
I am going to put the woman with her OKAY sign made in USA, and the car with it in writing on the door as well - both on cover.

maybe even make a license plate tag with the PG rte 66 emblem on it too... but not there yet!

ah well if that goes well I might have a 2nd one for you. I bought an a100.2 to get signed by the artist and I was happy to see the art was perfect but the white powder/paint on the top portion had a good scrape in it. I have considered sanding and buffing it and then touching up some areas to make it look new, if that is something you can do let me know.

I would personally do just the Route 66 logo on the top. The other two seem over the top to me. If you insist on keeping them, maybe make them smaller as not to distract from the 66 logo? Looks great man.

was reading all this thread.........were you going to add your name and erics if both of you worked on it? is that set in stone? no offence...Im all about stock and mint...A BIG NO OFFENCE TO eric....but I would not want the name fosgate on my PG amp anywhere..even if it is the bottom...if a name had to be I would rather it be ericd not the name of another amp..like I said NO OFFENCE....hope none is taken...both of you are Irreplaceable assets to this phorum and I myself value what you guys have to say.....

i think that the art work is a lil too.....distracting....how about a line from 1 end to the other....but of the real route 66,i mean like a map of the route... like the one that is the route 66 sign on the amp...the one in the background of the sign...just a line depicting the actual direction of route 66....i don't know if i'm explaining it right....but one solid line from one end of the amp to the other.....but it's really the route of route 66.

personally I just think pg hit the mark and there really doesn't need to be anything added. Would you try to make the mona lisa better if you re-did it? Well of course we would all make her topless but I don't know that it would make the die hards want it as bad.

interesting take on that... funny thing is that eric and i did discuss this. i wouldnt haven included his name if not..but funny thing is he at first had expressed his interest in having his real name on there and have me drop the Dr. F. But after a couple/few emails back/forth we ended up with this. Perhaps we should seriously take that under advisement. I thought it would be neat idea to do when/if customer/member wishes, or is okay with it. If not then i would do as they instruct given they are the paying custy. BUT wanted to see how it would look or what kind of reactions come from it. Perhaps we simply do my comp name with Eric D instead.
I'm kinda surprised i hadnt thought of that, in fact. point well taken and understood- perhaps there is some merit to that...

you mean like as seen in pic right... like across the whole amp from 1-side to next... be kinda neat to include the outlines of the states as well.

BUT i might not be able to figure that out as quickly as i would like to get oit done.

interesting idea tho LM work on that in my head.

imma try these lil smaller and see how i feel... i may drop them all together...

BUT you guys do realize that these are from PG manual (covers) right? just wanna make sure you realize that- in case not. As they are orig/OEM "PG artwork"... ya know not just something i Googled like 50's artwork or something.. not saying you guys dont but just wanna make sure you guys know this

I say no woman and no car but it could use a Made in America logo it's not really old school PG without it and put Phoenix Gold on it also.

Gonna keep car and woman- BUT reduce their size drastically.... but point well taken so ....and/BUT you do realize that the woman is the "hand made in usa" icon/logo... at least that is their intent with her giving/showing the "okay" finger expression...

BUT YES point well taken and in fact one step ahead of you... gonna have Phoenix Gold, Anniversary Edition 1992 on it now. BUT in a little different format...

you'll see. I looked at it and it just isnt right with out having PG written on there some where - Doh!

I would love it on the inside of the cover but I am not sure that is what you would love. I would always know it was there and we all know we will take it off from time to time anyway....

I like the chick and the car. I think they should be scaled down in size relative to the Route 66 logo, as that is the name of the amp, in the center, and should draw the most attention.

You are having fun with this one, funk it up!

well artwork is done...
crappy pics coming in a sec...

think if i were to do again i would not do all this extra curricular artwork unless asked by buyer.

Looks okay, but not sure i am feeling it as i had thought i would...

BUT it dont look bad really...

have a look!

just clear now and she is gettin put back together...

SO WHAT DID YOU GUYS THINK... Black terminals or stay with the OEM grey ones on there now?

it's not oem anymore.....so the black terminals imo! The black and white theme is throughout the amp....so why change now? Just my 2¢.
