Kenwood KDC-X890 Shuts amps off when switched to CD

Post by ShockTherapy »

Wierdness. We are trying to finish up my friend's install and we are having issues. When we have the radio playing the amps are lit up and everything is cool but once we switch the source to either CD or aux or whatever the amps and other components shut off. The deck shows the CD being played but everything else shuts down. anyone else encountered this on the higher end Kenwoods? We used the rest button many times but nothing. HELP. We are running out of beer.

If you just jump the remote for the amps from B+ instead of from the HU, do they stay on? Sounds like a faulty HU to me. :(

you sure you're not using the antenna power output instead of remote turn on?
