how hot does themq430 get?
I got this from wheelie king and once I redo the caps I am going to put it to work in the stang to drive my rear speakers. They will not be playing full range nor full volume so I would not expect it to get too hot but just curious. After cleaning up the board there is no way I am not going to make a plexi bottom with some custom decals to make it look cool and show it off. I am planning a small fan of some type to keep air moving across it but was not sure how hot they really get? How much space should I leave between the fins and the mounting surface to allow air to pass?
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

it really depends on how many speakers you run and also how much power the speakers demand, and also how hard you push it. ive pushed two twelves off the rear and at mid listening levels it would be bairly warm but at full output it could get kinda hot. but running a few more speakers and it can get so hot you cant touch it, so it just depends.
