Question about Xenon 600.1

I currently am running a 600.1 pushing two Xenon 10d2 subs in sealed enclosures. I have a 3rd 10d2 sitting around and was wondering if the amp had enough power to push 3.

Would anyone know if this is a good/bad idea?

The current set up is the subs are wired in series to create 1 ohm loads and then wired in parallel to the amp so the amp sees 2 ohms total. If I add the 3rd sub and wire it accordingly...the math works out to be something like 2.63 ohms...so I'm sure impedance isn't an issue. I think my question is more about the power output of the amp.

I think you have your series parallel ideas confused. Puttin them in parallel would drop them to 1 ohm and in series would add the impedences. if you threw in a 3rd sub wired the same way you would net a 3 ohm load, drop the power out of the amp as well as split it between an additional sub. Not sure it would be better or worse.

the power output is the same no matter what load on these amps, it's called Xe.load and gives full power into 4,2,or 1ohm loads.
As far as being enough power, I'm not too sure 220ish rms per sub is adequate for the Xenon subs. Now if that were a 1200.1 then you'd be good.
throw a box together and find out I suppose is what I would do.
really in essence you are adding cone area and dropping wattage per sub.
more or less they would sorta be the same. When some people start under powering subs
they tend to make up for it by having the gainset to high which will clip the signal your sub will receive.
Will it be audible? perhaps but probably not. decreasing the subs life span is a possibility.

yea didn't pay enough attention to the title, and never paid attention to that line to know the outputs, shoulda just shut up but bored in the hospital again.

I would just stick with the 2 subs. Adding the 3rd wouldn't really add to much since you have a constant output from the amp. It would draw power that would otherwise be going to the other two.

You're right, that's what I get for typing in an hurry and not thinking. In actuality...each sub is wired in series...making each sub 4 ohms and then wired to the amp in parallel creating a 2 ohm load @ the amp. Thanks for pointing that out...always helps to have the facts right.

I see what you're saying though in regards to adding the 3rd sub. I guess...I'll just leave it alone and hold onto the extra sub if one should blow or anything.
