PG TI12d's
I just traded a set of Alpine Type R 1022d's for a set of PG TI12d's. So far im very impressed with the sq compared to the Alpines. Also they are in a small sealed box, just over 1cf per sub and they get very loud. Im planning on building a ported box for them and was wondering what would be the ideal size box? I want it tuned around 30-32hz. These are my 1st PG subs and im very happy with the trade so far
How are the TI12d's compared to the Ti2 subs or the Type R's? Thanks for any & all replies....Jeremy

Re: PG TI12d's
assuming the ti's are anything like the rsdc's (and they are supposed to be) the ti's will be a more smooth response curve. the alpines tend to have a 50-60hz bump, at a expense of low end.
i havn't put either of them in a ported box.
so about your username....um, are we brothers?

I dont think so, but stranger things have happened
.... Where are you from? My father is from Chicago, but im from Miami. Yeah that was one of the things I didnt like about the Alpine. Don't get me wrong, for the $$ they were great subs. But they did lack low end bass. These are the 1st non Alpine subs that i've owned since they 1st came out w/ the Type R's lol...I love the sound of these and was thinking instead of going w/ a low tuned ported box, maybe i'll put them in a larger sealed box. I was thinking maybe 1.25-1.50cf per sub.
