Probably a dumb question!! ( i'm a newbie so its allowed ) i have been doing lots of reading on here and i keep seeing this word "FRANKED" would someone be so kind as to tell me what this means please.
what "Franked" means that Phoenix gold released Limited edition amps called "frankampnstien" and "son of frankampnstien" they were black with like these flakes in the powerder coating. they also came with a coffin and burlap bag.
any hoo when the members are referring to Franked, they mean the powder coating scheme that PG did on those amps. they were really beautiful mutations of the famed MS amplifiers.
just ask some of the members here to post pics of the amps.
aloha
You may have subs in your car........but my doors sound better!
Mostly you will see the term "Franked" referring to other components, such as a base cube or a crossover. Meaning they have been finished cosmetically to match the amps.
Black with metallic flakes and pink silk screened lettering.
Working on that right now with mhyde71. I don't think anodizing the heat sink will be cheap....from what I remember I was told it would be very costly due to the process. Pink heat sink perhaps?
Well the SAFS stands for Son of Frank amp N Stein. Then a serial # of 0344.
Correct me if im wrong but i was under the impression only 300 SFAS were made? To me, that indicates it was ordered seperate and not as a set with an LE amp.
