Tri-Mode ti500.4
Hey guys, sorry to ask, i know have before- but here goes, i know the tri-mode usually means front 2 chan. In stereo, rear bridged, but with the power supplies able to do 1ohm stereo, what if I ran my rear 6s in stereo on rear channel and simulataneously run my subs bridged off that channel? Wouldnt i need some caps to cross the subs? Thanx in advance

Re: Tri-Mode ti500.4
you want to run 4 speakers, on a 4 channel amp in a bridged mode with all 4 off the same output? in a tri-mode? It kinda begs the question why don't ya just run one speaker off of each channel? maybe get all crazy and do a real tri-mode like you described? Your really just wanting to tax the amp that hard in an attempt to get more power I assume? I don't see it ending up all nice and easy, or sounding all that good after a lot of tweeking.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

Ive run my fronts(6.5 w/tweet w/ my rears on front chan., while keeping rear bridged to my subs, sounds good, just curious keep the rear 6'a( rear fill) in stereo on same rear chan bridged

Even if you could do it, which you may or may not be able, it would sound horrible. Your best option is to get another amp for sub duty. Even bridged, 4 channel amps really aren't suited for sub duty. They can do it, but there are more effective options available, like just about any 2 channel.
Being loud without good sound quality is pointless, but having good sound quality without being loud is also pointless.

you would need to run a passive inductor for the sub. and that would rob power, and be hard to dial in properly. you are better off with the fronts in stereo for your speakers, and the rear set to LP for the sub. or better still, get a sub amp.
