2 cyclones in a honda civic hatch in the uk
Re: 2 cyclones in a honda civic hatch in the uk
most people will take them apart to inspect/clean the motor assembly as they tend to develop some noise after prolonged use. I was only lucky enough to build a box for and install one in a customers car and I still remember being impressed with the output. We had to match it up with a 10" to cover bass above 50 hz but with a small amp on the clone and the 10" it pounded like all hell. The 4 cuft box between the two took up most of the trunk but watching my drill get launched off of the rear package tray when we first cranked it up is a memory I will never forget.

Re: 2 cyclones in a honda civic hatch in the uk
was the install with both in the same 4 feet space or did they have their own 2 foot chamber? Also was the cyclone motor in o out of the 4 foot box?
Re: 2 cyclones in a honda civic hatch in the uk
I came across a box that is built for 15's that 2.3 feet per chamber. All I have to do is change out the front panel in ordr to adapt the box for the cyclones. If the 4 feet is needed, I can cut out the partition between the chambers.

I have tried about everything in getting my cyclone unstuck. Does anyone that has cleaned one have any suggestions? I don't have a vice to use as suggested.

tried penetrating oil or freeze off?

Yes, I used WD-40 and let it sit overnight. I could try adding more. I didn't want to use too much and ruin anything.
Re: 2 cyclones in a honda civic hatch in the uk
So I got the cyclone apart finally. The magnet is broken off in one spot. Does anyone know how much of the magnet can be missing and the sun still work.
Re: 2 cyclones in a honda civic hatch in the uk
not sure I know anyone that has ever ran one partially together and its not something I would recommend. Sorry man that sucks...

Re: 2 cyclones in a honda civic hatch in the uk
I got both my cyclones apart and I'm afraid I'm gonna have to have one for parts and one that works. With my first one it has a chunk of the magnet broken off and on the second the "hot" wire is burned. Since one is probably gonna be junk anyway I may try to get it working and hope for the best. I can put the broken magnet back together and seal it so that it won't move or shake around and the burnt wire can be replaced. What's everyone's thoughts. I was really wanting to hear and feel both of these working.
