Board Upgrades
Board Upgrades
Hey gang, long time no chat!
I started getting problems with our hosting provider because the board was so out of date. This version is 9 years newer...
This means all the plugins and such that we had before will be disabled (risk for some more spam!). Ugly default theme for now.
Will work on gradual improvements over the next while.

Re: Board Upgrades
I guess I am really showing my age now, but this generic format is a hell of a lot easier on my eyes to read!
Got "schooled" by member shawn k on May 10th, 2011...
No longer really "in tune" with the audio industry, and probably have not been for some time.
Hands down the forum's most ignorant member...
Don't even know what Ohm's law is...

Hey stipud, the phorum looks good, seems to work well, too. Many thanks for the FTP mirror also, I use the manuals so often, such a handy resource!

Re: Board Upgrades
I was wondering what was going on. Lol, at first I went through the control panel trying to figure out how my theme got changed.

I still show that I have 2 unread messages but I can't seem to figure out which 2? I do need to go delete the really old ones now that I think about it...

Re: Board Upgrades
Thanks Jason, miss you all too!
Sadly I haven't really had a working "fun" car in about 8 years. Always some broken old shitter in my parking spot. I just give up due to lack of time, money and interest. Don't have any friends around that like to work on this stuff, and with kids and job I get about an hour a night to wind down if I'm lucky.
2 years later I sell these derelict beaters for pennies, and buy another one that lasts maybe another 6 months . I think the Saab is the only car I've ever owned that lasted more than a year or two. Currently I have an 1999 ML430 with seized brakes, harmonic balancer imploded, broken door lock, check engine codes out the wazoo... but only 50k miles, pristine condition, top of the line!
Have been working full remote the last years so I have no need for a car. All my PG gear is still sitting in boxes in storage now, along with stacks of Audiosource home equipment. Ahhh it's just not the same.
Since PG has taken the link to the Phorum off of their website our traffic is down to almost nothing. If you search Google for "Phoenix Gold" we are on page 3, and it's on some random page. Too bad. I guess most people are on Facebook now. Anyways I still love to keep this place up for the memories and all the great pics. Also good to know you guys are still doing alright in these trying times!
