Ti500.4

I am getting music fading in and out on front speakers, most the time no aound from left front, bumps seem to make it happen, wiggling rca wires on amp causes the problem. I switched rca wires around to see if they were the problem, and even bypassed the line driver, but same problem, I did find that the left rear channel is blown. so it will have to be sent in to be repaired, but I did open it up to check the rca solder joints, they looked good, nice a shiney, moving rca's around didnt show anything except the barrels on rca's were very loose, could this be causing the problem? I know it doesnt really matter since i have to send it in anyways, but was just wondering what could of caused it so I can avoid it happening again
I shouldnt complain too much I have had this amp and my Ti800.1 for 6 years and this is the first time I have had a problem. I should of kept my other Ti500.4 instead of selling it would be nice to have right know, decided to buy a rsd250.2 so i have some tunes will Ti is being fixed.

I am no expert....so I am not going to comment...but wanted to say hi...and welcome ot the forums....looks like this is your first post. Good luck...I am sure some people will chime in....maybe change your title on this from TI500.4 to TI500.4 question...or problems?

I'm taking a stab in the dark here...

Are your RCAs going into the amp stressed at all when they are plugged in? If they are jammed in with some obstruction, it could be that the barrels got messed up in time.

Seems a bit unlikely though.

Maybe they just got bumped really hard once while plugged in?

Where is the amp installed and the relative location of the input(s)?

I had to replace the crossover board on my ZX475Ti (same amp just renamed) The first probalem I had was popping noise when I adjust my front gains, the second problem was I lost one of my rear channels, it just buzzed. I sent it out to PG to repair.

The crossover board that PG designed is special. I am working on Jeds currently try to find the source of his HISS sound. So i backed up the layout a bit to see that PG used silicon fet switches to switch things electronically to try and prevent noise issues.
This is operated when you change the selector switch for the different modes of operation.
Then there is the input selector switch all these thing interact to make the crossover board work properly. So yes this board can have issues and it will play out as noise, lost signal, and buzz's, pops, and clicks.

Thanks for the invite, first post here, but i was on soundbuggy for a long time, an have had PG products even longer, been here for reading post here for awhile just never signed up to make any post, as for yout question, rca's arent stressed, not pulled tight or at any odd bends, they are tight fitting, so im not sure why rcas are loose now. I guess it could be a problem with one of the other boards, like the crossover, either way it will be fixed. I also noticed that a few of the caps on the power supply side seemed loose, probably not causing problem, but i will have them checked out also. I know that some other PG amps its recommended that the caps be swaped out with better ones, would I gain anything by putting in better caps or one with more capacitance, and would PG do this if asked?
