Hi!
We have a little discussion on a Norwegian Carforum about the consequence of a high\low Xmax on a subwoofer. There are big differenses between subs, mine Alpine says 36.4mm (1.43") but some other older subwoofers as low as 3mm (0.11") One guy claims that he has a subwoofer with a Xmax of 80mm (3.14") dont know what brand that is.
So is it always automaticly the subwoofer with the highest Xmax that will put out the highest SPL or SQ or is it other considerations to take, is it always smart to look for the Subwoofer with the highest possible Xmax?

Consequence of high\low Xmax on subwoofers.
bit of a can of worms this one, common sense will say high xmax = high spl and low xmax = higher sq, but this isn't always so...
