Sub search

Post by $LICK »

Im looking for some subs with good SQ and SPL. I read a couple reviews on the RSD 12s but their only 350rms. I have a Xenon 1200.1 but I think that might be too much power for those subs. Im trying to buld an all PG speaker system. I was also looking at the Tantrum X 15s and couldnt find anything about them.

I saw it on the PG site but I cant find any online retailers that sell it yet. What's the rms for the Xmax?

I wouldn't worry about the RMS rating of the RSd too much. I know people are running those on 1200.

I had my RSD 12 bridged on a ti1000.2 for a while, and it loved it.

Does anyone have any advice on crystal clear highs? Im thinking about buying a set of coaxials that come with separate crossovers and also buying a set of tweeters.

You can consider the Phoenix Gold Titanium Elite 12.
Some new pieces are still around at a fraction of the original price.( Ebay)

i would pass on the coax + tweets. powering them would be odd, and it would be less expensive, better sounding to just go with a set of decent components

Feel comfortable in the fact that the RSd can and will take an X1200.1.

Also the Review of the RSdC have been updated. It is rated as a Buy without question according to my ears..
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

Whats the deal with those RSd subs? Are they underrated or just tough?

very much Both. the power rating of 350, is all that it takes make it reach Xmax i belive.

i ran a 12 for over a year on 800 watts, it loved it
