Ti Elite 6 enclosure size
Ti Elite 6 enclosure size
Did a real quick search and came up empty, so heres my question: What size enclosure is 'ideal' for the Ti Elite 6? The manual states .04-1cuft which is quite a large span. So what size did you put yours into? I might have found a way to make enclosures to fit my doors, but they will be a tad snakey.
If you look at the manual for the 5s, it states .02 - .05
The 6 starts at double the .02 at .04, so it's always been my wondering if there's been a typo. Cause double the .05 would be .1
So I wonder did they leave out the "." by mistake?????

You are probably right. PG is really bad at proofreading.smgreen20 wrote:So I wonder did they leave out the "." by mistake?????
Regardless, the whole point of the enclosure is to control your backwaves. Any size will do it, but an overly small one will restrict the speaker's ability to reach excursion. So as I said before, do it as big as you can (within reason).
.1 is probably a good size.
Rat,
let me know when you've tried the AP enclosure that you speak of.
I have elite 6's in small sealed pods in door. Never had the owner's manual, so I didn't know what the recommendation for enclosure volume was.
Mine sound a little "muffled" and just not as clear and natural as I'd like. After reading this, now I'm pretty sure the pods are too small.
I'm going to try deadening the inside of the pods a little more, but I'm betting this isn't going to help much. I was just thinking about cutting a hole in the bottom of the pods. Any thoughts?
