Hahahaha Thats funny :D
It reminds me of a home system I had with a 15" sub hooked up to it! I could only play mp3 songs on it!! Otherwise the cd would skip like crazy!
It may or may not help to put some rubber tape or pieces, or foam, where the cd player mount touches the panel.
If it doesn`t then mp3 is your only solution for LOUD music

I have a single batt right now. I have another batt not in use but I only have a 85A alternator. So I don't know if that would do. I never tried two batterys before. And by Mp3 songs is that off a mp3 player or mp3 cd's?

If I make another box holding two drivers in a shared enclosure. How big should I make the port width? I am making a slot port box for two 10" Rsdc's. Can't figure out what would be better. I have a big piece of 3" pvc pipe or should I just make another slot port? I am trying to make the box around 28-33hz with about 1.62cuft. I can't figure out how to make the box. My external dimensions are 34"width, 14"depth, 14" high. Those are max dimensions.

hey i just got my 2 10 rsdc and they sound phenominal in a ported box-my internal cubes are 1.82, with a square port that measures 2.5tall by 10.5wide by 20 inches long-i even spent all yesterday afternoon building a small sealed box per pg specs; sounds much better with the square port-so thats what i would rec. and techinically speaking when i plugged in my measurements it is actually tuned to 38hz; i tried to upload my video to photobucket, but it wont-so ill keep trying-Christian

I might try to get another Jbl gto1201.1 also. Have one on each sub. And was thinking of getting two more 10" rsdc's. So I have four in total. But I don't know how to fit it in the trunk. Those stupid arms for the trunk makes it even harder.

I got my RSDc102 in today. Excited about the setup.

If we follow PG specs with a 1.5" dia X 7" length port wouldn't that give some port noise? It just confuses me why they would recommend it. winISD says it should be in 1 cube with a 3" dia X 21.5" length port.

port size

Post by thedeal7235 »

hey my box is , internal cubes 1.8(too large per the pg specs), with a square port that is 2.5 high, by 10.5 wide and 20 long- if i made a new one, i might make the length only 16, but i get no noise, and its tuned to 38hz and i luv them,SOOOOOO CLEAN!!!!! on a rsd1200.1 , they want more power!!!

I was thinking of making new enclosures for my two rsdc 10s. Like make them a sort of spl enclosure I guess. Just want them to be really loud and people will be like can you turn it down or get out of the car type thing. What would you guys recommend. The boxes I have now will be my sql type boxes I guess. Then I switch them between each other when I want it to be loud. My boxes now are tuned to 33hz in 1cuft each. What whould the more spl oriented boxes be? I want it to play music really loud.
