Why don't you use that big ass xenon amp you have to power it?AVICJR wrote:I'm very sure it will take it. One of the car audio magazines wrote an article on the sub and I believe they were putting somewhere around 2400 watts to it, two amps, one per VC. I was contemplating buying an Exile X2400.1 to run mine.KHPower wrote:One of these days I am going to have to get one of em to play around with. Do you think you could over power that beast, lets say 3000 rms? and get away with it

You know the one you got from Casey?

Another battery will also draw more from yiour alternator , regardless if your alternator checked out ok doesnt mean it can handle your audio system and your vehicles power requirements.selondontiburon wrote:Should i add a second battery to give my amp more power? if so How do i do this?
You would have to wire the batteries in parallel and use a battery isolator for best results.
What head unit are you using? Whats the pre out volts? you may need to ease up on the amps gain

Your amp should be fine at 2 ohms. 4 ohms you would see less power, not to mention the elite cant be ran at 4 ohms, its a dual 4 ohm sub, which leaves your options at 2 or 8 ohms. I would personally run larger wire, atleast 2 guage, preferably 0 guage, and change your box. First and foremost though, get the new box going, and evaluate from there. 2.75 ported should get relatively loud.
