The brown wire IS an upgraded 4awg ground yes, and if he means the pic from the back seats, thats a distribution box to convert the 0awg to 4awg to enable it to go into my amp!

Can you tell me, or take a picture, what the settings and dials on your amp are configured to?

Yes. If your dropping the voltage below 12volts then I would say there may be a problem with your battery or alternator. That may be the first thing you want to check out. Stop by a service station and have them do a load check on the charging system of your vehicle. Over here, most places will do that for next to nothing if not free. It's important that you know for sure your car is up to the task before you waste allot of time troubleshooting from the audio side.

what radio do you have? That input voltage looks a little low to me... I would think it should be pointing straight up, unless you have a stock radio or something?

Problem 1... bass boost...

Bass boost is bad, mmkay! For every 3dB of boost, you are forcing the amp to try to double it's output at that frequency. Not good! Not only does it give you a hugely bloated response at the boost frequency, it sucks the powersupply clean, and produces clipped, noisy output. Turn bass boost OFF and keep it there.

Your HP frequency is looking pretty high. You want to set that to 10Hz below the tuning frequency of your sub box. If you don't know what that is, just set it very low.

Now play around with the LP frequency to get it to blend well with the front stage. Ideally you will want ~80Hz or so, to blend in with your front stage. Make sure that voices don't become boomy, otherwise it's set too high.

Finally, your gain adjustment. Read this FAQ to learn how:
http://phoenixphorum.com/gain-setting-w ... vt280.html

Basically, you will want a 50Hz test tone. Disconnect the sub, and connect a multimeter to the speaker wires. Now, since you want 1500 watts at 2 ohms, we use the formula sqrt (1500 * 2) = 55 volts. Adjust the gains until you reach this point. You can turn it up above this if you've got a remote sub volume control knob, but you must realize that if you play tracks with loud bass, you have to turn the knob down until it is not clipping anymore.

Is it 50 hz or 60 hz test tone?

60Hz in north america, 50Hz in europe.

You just want to use the same frequency as the electrical outlets, since that is what cheapo multimeters are calibrated at. If you have a more expensive True-RMS multimeter, you can use any frequency.

That is possibly the smallest port area I have ever seen for a monster sub period. Like mentioned, ditch the bass bost, set the gains accordingly. A volt meter is like5-10 bucks at radio shack and or walmart. Use a 50 hertz test tone. You can get tones at www.realmofexcursion.com for on a cd. square root of the power multiplied by the ohms. So you said your amp is 1500 watts, then you should be looking for 54.7 volts when you hook up the volt meter.

I think the enclosure is fine. No reason it should sound like "300 watts". It won't be as loud as possible, but certainly more than what he is describing.

Selond, have you tried the tuning suggestions I made above?
