I ran mine as a sub amp. I didnt really need the 1200.1, as mine was benched at 1200 watts anyway. I mainly got it because the price was right (paid around $550 total from car domain when they stopped carrying them.) Also, that would be a perfect amp for some ti elite components.
I'm going to be running my Ti500.4's bridged-stereo in order to get the type of stereo power you can get out of the 1000.2. If I wasn't going to be using some of the crossover features on the 4 channels I'd upgrade to the big stereo amp in a heartbeat. If they were also aluminum that is.
Just wonder why you'd bother with a 1000.2 rather than a 1200.1 and wire parallel for 2 subs
Class A/B vs Class D.
pg didnt make a class d until the octane series. the 1200.1 is still a a/b amp
the 1000.2 is really meant to be a monster 2 channel amp, and shouldn't be run lower then 4ohms bridged. wheras the 1200.1 can be run safely down to 1ohm
my ex-girlfriend said "its car audio or me"
i've had tougher choices at a soda machine...

1 ohm bridged or stereo?
1 ohm bridged = 0.5 ohm stereo, which is way too low for that amp. It's optimized for 2 ohms, stable at 1 ohm, but 0.5 is way too low, and could easily cause damage.

Didnt xenon come before octane?
No. Octane came out about around the time as the Titanium line. Or at least they were in production near the same time line as their high end/low(er) end lines. Xenon replaced the Titanium line.

Thats fucking crazy. How could they go from some of the best amps made to the octane series? I thought it was more gradual.
Octane's weren't bad at all. I have rarely if EVER heard of a flaw or complaint or problem from an Octane amp on this forum or the "two predecessors". And to top it off, it's an entry level amp. It's no M or MS line, but that's what the Ti line was for.

Meh.
Anyways Im looking for that thread that discusses sq of each line. Aby chance you remember what thread Im looking for?
the octane series came out just after the limited edition octane amp came out which was the ZXti series amps. They were still solid amps made from the remains of the ti series which were solid.

So those white, blinged out swap meet looking amps are close to the ti line?
