how would you say they compare to the fi eighteens performance wise and cost wise...the 12's, last years, loaded are 440 each and the 18s are but 650 fully loaded...spl coil so the gap is pretty narrow...but they'll rail on 4k...but that is the same problem as the mojos....one on 4k would move some air but I don't know...been running singles recently and I prefer multiple subs....

Ok...went to the link and the price is quite reasonable...1000rms...so how grossly underrated is that....just put a 12 9500 in truck for freind on autotek 3000d at one ohm....took it and was asking for more....but he had a blown 9 in his door so it dialed the gain in with only about 1/3 signal due to distortion...coming back to deal with that. it was pretty loud...be nice to see what it'll do

so bout the spl....just how hard do these run...and are they accustic at all or typical of most 18s....mid bass needed

Cone size alone doesnt determine how low or high you hit, that would be the enclosure that decides that.. the hdc3s, and the dd9500 18s can take a beating.. I am currently running mine off an exile x5 @2 ohms, which is roughly 2500 watts or so, and it takes it like a champ.. They like being tuned high. My box is 6 cubes tuned to 36 hertz, and it kills the lows.. DD subs are also great at bass race events...
