Cosmetically our design goal was "clean but mean". However, thermal and electrical performance were most important, after all it is an amplifier.
Entry line amps will have:
- Unregulated power supplies
- Bi-Polar Output Stages
- 12dB crossovers for 4 channels
- 18dB crossovers for monoblocks
- High Level Input with signal sensing turn on
- 4 gauge direct insert angled power terminals
- 12 gauge direct insert angled speaker terminals
- LPL and RMD for all models
XS2300, XS2500, XS2300, X200.4, X100.2, Ti21000.4, Roadster 66

I prefer angled terminals, it makes it much easier to tuck the wires underneath the amp for clean installs.
It also allows you to mount that side a little closer to a wall than with terminals coming straight out.
It also basically puts the wires on the ground immediately after the terminals, minimizing the risk of people stepping on the wires & breaking the terminals or solder joints, and minimizing the risk of the wire being caught & pulled out.

Sinfoni...... that is audio sex right there. I miss working with that stuff, wish I woulda picked some up when I had accommodation prices.martinkruit wrote:Please give me a PG product that can beat Sinfoni or Genesis amps.
And i will directly load my Van with PG.
Please Please, Please make it happen..................
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

Are angled terminals something to expect on all the amplifier lines ?
Are any of the lines going to hide the inputs ?
Like the Xenon's
Are any of the amps going to have dual power and ground inputs ?
Will any of the amps display the internals ?
Speaking of internals, when did Amp Guts go down ?.....it's like some gay forum now

not a fan of angled terminals
.... I find it's a real PITA in tight quarters
, especially if your using larger gauge wire, or you have amps tightly packed beside one another like I do, plus if your drilling holes to have the wires come through they had better be bang on or they look like poop.. From a looks standpoint it's not too bad,but i would take old Pg style over these angled one's anytime. just my .02

screw car audio, I'd rather go fast....errr, wait a minute.
Exile are good amps, I should know.Bfowler wrote:so morgan...what are the differences between that and the exile xi800.4?

Xi800.4 has more power (and much more expensive price) and bandpass setting than the amp pictured.
R amp has LPL, RMD, Defeatable auto turn on.
Wait until you see the higher end amp, that is more comparable to the Exile Xi series.

I know what you are getting at, but you can buy a drop light for a reason. Also note I said a touch of gray not make it charcoal. I'm talking color match it to the LPL/RMD port block color, just a bit of finish work in my mind.brenzbmr@sb wrote:VW337 wrote:Looks Great, overall very nice.
One suggestion-
Darken the silk screen labeling around the controls. that much bright white on black looks a bit tacky. Add a touch of gray to it.
dont install in the dark much do u???? LOL

Ant bought Ampguts, he also owns DIYMA
I really hate angled terminals, but I like the rest of the amp so much I figured I would just hold back my bitching for once...
Got "schooled" by member shawn k on May 10th, 2011...
No longer really "in tune" with the audio industry, and probably have not been for some time.
Hands down the forum's most ignorant member...
Don't even know what Ohm's law is...

BTW: The silkscreen is actually "Cool Grey" the pics just make it look white.VW337 wrote:I know what you are getting at, but you can buy a drop light for a reason. Externals of the high-end... amps, subs, components?MW3 wrote: Taking requests for Friday's sneak peak. Might be time for some amp guts?
Just wondering, since we havent seen the new heatsinks on the high end amps - if you would be doing anything like the PG of old, and making custom heatsink amps.
like I buy 2 of the 2125 and send them to you and you put them together under a long heatsink. like a FAS, SOFAS, TOFAS (nice!), etc...
and please tell me your going to have internals that we can put on display...
Although it would be nice to see some guts, we have not really talked much about the speakers and subs. Lets see the highend line subs.
