This is when they were actually good......a long, long time ago.....when PPI and Orion and A/D/S/ were all under 1 roof......then it got sold to DEI....chinese crap.....the old Orion's like these are built with military grade parts that are all +/- 1%

That's b/c there is not very many....there is also a Concept 97.1

I have run a few ppi power series amps...always liked them. Almost bought a couple ads plates for the bench in the shop...have heard they are nice amps

a/d/s/ is great....what I like about their amps is they look stock in you car......PPI...like the pc series

Randy bo bandy..lol you could have took the plastic off to show everyone MY concept 97 3....Ive had it at 1 ohm mono with no prob's,I didnt clamp it so I can tell you the actual power my amp makes but from what ive heard that its 12-1600 watts mono.(plenty for me

) and it sounds really clean. I have big plans for this concept..the rail caps will be remote mounted. there is 8 and the caps I want to use are huge so I have another heatsink that Im going to cut the ends off the heatsink about 2 in before the fan on each side.. its gonna look trick and will be a one-off creation..just for the hell of it..Im thinking of using some black gates

or some mundorf caps. it will be the ultimate sq sub amp after I get through with it!
I wanted to cut off the power supply section and remote mount it like the old skool adcom and phaze linears...but I'd need some serious help in doing that..it was just an Idea anyways...

I actually came across one of the concept 97.1 1/3 octave eq's a few years back in a shop I was working it. Cool lookin stuff.
