Ti1200.1 cap question

Post by Seanram »

This is one of my latest works...
Riviving this beast meant replacing the entire powersupply (transistors, pwm, resistors).
I took the oppertunity to set the bias and match the gains and redo all the thermal paste.
Normally I'm used to work on the ZX amps and not the TI's.
The amp works great and sounds really good.
But the big question remains should I replace the supply and rail caps or not?

Unless they physically look bad, don't replace them.

Those amps don't suffer from the cap problems that older PG amps do.
