What does this have to do with car audio you ask?

Does anyone know of anyone who has tried mounting one on top of their dash shooting out their windshield? The size of the unit and power consumption is manageable. One could conceivably use a garage door or white building wall as a screen, or just carry a tripod screen around with them. Perfect for camping trips, tailgating, etc. I'm thinking about trying it for lulz. My only question is what shooting through a windshield would do to the picture.

it will look like crap if your shooting through the glass onto the garage if that is what your asking. Beyond that if you don't have a nice flat screen for it to play on it doesn't really matter if its 1080i

Okay, but let's say I did have a projector screen sitting in front of the vehicle. What would the windshield itself do to the picture?

you will loose light through the reflection off of the glass at a minimum and projectors need all the light they can get which is why the screen is so important.

plus most windsheilds are at a angle and that will mess with the picture.
