Just finished some cables for an old alpine 3566.

I think they turned out well and will look pretty sweet once installed.
I've been waiting 25 years to here this amp again.

That looks nice and clean. You used techniques that were not used when that amp originally came out. If you went back in time to show that to any installer from back in the day they'd think it was done by an alien. Lol

How old school are you talking? The shop I worked at used methods like that back in the late 80's, and early 90's. If I remember right, IASCA rules gave extra points for wire protection, and we would do those things on some (not all for sure) of the higher end installations we did.

Found a Alpine 3549 a few days ago, I will be using that for the sub duty. Just can't decide what sub to use. I'm thinking of using a ti12 svc4 (old ones).

Also the amp is in great shape but has one corner bent a bit. Anyone know if I can safely bend it back?

wrap a towel around it and you can probably straighten it a bit in a vice.

you need a bunch of the black with pink letter alpine bass
subs
I used the 8" when they came out I was surprised how they sounded if you look at local kijiji there is a set of zr alpine 12"

How is the quality on those old alpines? I got a 3522s in trade a while back and have yet to use it.

alpine amps have never been known as huge power mongers, also not really known for perfect SQ but I could call them robust and reliable. Even the old square black amps would come into the install bay looking like missles were tested on it but they always powered up.

I always loved the old alpines. I found they had great sq. and I never had to worry about major electrical upgrades to the system.

I guess I was talking about the techflex. I never used it back in the day, I mean without the internet I wouldn't know where to find it. I imagine that install shops had access to it through catalogs but the average DIYer wouldn't have had easy access to it. Even the shops I worked in didn't have it.

Try "duck bill" Vise grips they are flat on top and bottom with no teeth! I have fixed several bent corners with these without damaging the coating.

Where did you get the power wire terminals? I need some for 4 and8 gauge and haven't been able to find anything
