2006 GMC Sierra Duramax Install

Finally got around to doing the install in my truck. Running a XS4600 for the front Elite 6.5 components and rear Titanium 6.5 point source coaxials. A XS2500 and Basscube running (2) 10" SL subs in a MTX thunderform sealed enclosure. (Actually sounds better than expected). A DD5 for a few accessories. Using blue strip LED's under each unit. Gonna add the crossflow fans in the next few weeks. Using all Stinger batteries, wiring, fuse distribution and terminals. All wiring in black Techflex and heatshrink. Running a Mechman billet 250 amp alternator with a PAC Audio isolator. Overbuilt charging system as this is my work truck and will be adding an inverter setup along with onboard air system in the near future. Any feedback or questions in appreciated. Yeah the LED's have a glowing/breathing effect that looks sweet when powered up. Need to get a good video up.

The sound is nice and clear for sure. I didn't expect the Elite 6.5's to sound so full and precise. I still need to tune properly as all has been done by ear. Tried the auto eq/ta feature on the 80PRS and sounded like shit so erased and started over. Gonna keep adjusting to get it just right.

your ears should be the final judge on any tuning no matter if you use the auto eq or not. Not using the eq doesn't mean your not doing it right. My alpines auto eq/time alignment is good to get it close but not perfect by any means
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

fucking love this install. i've always loved the xs' and those "bars" are super slick. where did you make / buy those?

only constructive criticism i have is you should finish deadening the doors to seal of the back wave of the mid.
my ex-girlfriend said "its car audio or me"
i've had tougher choices at a soda machine...

Thanks man! I've only ever owned the XS series. Was hooked the second I saw and bought my first amp all those years ago. The "bars" are actually beams and adapters from a robotic erector type set called Actobotics. A company I use for my "creations" that carries these is called Servocity. Check em out! http://www.servocity.com I had them all anodized black once I was happy with fitment. They are rigid as hell once screwed all together.

I did finish sealing the doors. Just never took pics as I was on a mission to get done before the heat came. I'm glad I did because it's hot as F--K here now. :-)

At first I wasn't too sure how I felt about the bars but in the end you pulled it off nicely. Looks great and fits the truck well. Love all the attention to detail. Awesome job!!!!
