Q about Ti6 Elite comps.

Post by smgreen20 »

As most know by now, I got my PG Elites and honestly the "install" section of the manual SUCKS! I've got parts that came w/it that the manual shows nothing of and I have an idea as to what they are, just not sure how they'd be used.

What it looks like to me is some sort of space, or hole opening adapters. There's a total of 8 of them and I have know Idea as to just exactly what they are. The batteries are charging for the camera or I'd take a pic and show them to you.

The manual shows nothing about the ring adapters/spacers, and what the cut out diameter is to the grills since they're Farking huge. So, out comes the 90% angle and T-Square to figure out the opening size. I know the door pods I have now will not accomadate those. And I really cringe about the thought of putting them in the door. Seen pics of Tom's and others mids w/rust forming on the terminals.

Those didn't take as long as I thought to charge. Here they are.

So, what exactly are they?

Also, are there only three holes to mount these. The holes in the grill gring and to the speaker basket don't line up. Only 2 line up and that's it. I have 6 white "clips", 3 per, that looks like they'd be used, but that doesn't seem to sturdy or solid.

I think they may have something to do with flush mounting or something... Your guess is as good as mine though.

I am confused about that aswell. Also about how to set the tweeters in the crossover.. Do I have to physicly open up the crossover to adjust the tweeter level? I tried pulling the pins out of the front of the crossover, but it did nothing?

It's a bit confusing on both parts. What the parts are/for, and the xover tweeter setting. It looks as if, if you have the 5s leaving the "chip" in will decrease the level, but if you take the "chip" out on the 6s it will decrease the tweeter level. I might have that backwards. Only thing I can think of is the output difference between the 5 and the 6 in "dBs".

????????????

Where you at Errin? Chime in damnit! :D

The funny little legs are for mounting, and in all honesty I have never used them. They allow a flexible position fro mounting the ring into place and then you just drill trough the ring to mount the speaker. It is intended for a custom panel application.

little black tab in or out for adjustment, in most cases an RTA will be needed to know which best matches your system.
