GM Snow Plow Truck Install

Post by Eric D »

I did this install a long time ago (I think 2004), but I never really posted it on any forum to my knowledge. I used some very straightforward techniques which may be beneficial to some of you, especially those on a budget. I charged only $500 to do this install, and that was including all the equipment. I think I made about $100 on labor for doing it and had maybe 25-30 hours into it. Keep in mind I worked for Rockford Fosgate at the time, and got all of the equipment at cost.

Here is a detailed write up of the whole install…

Here are some highlights of the install…

Those are the MB Quart grilles, and yes, they are painted the same red as the kick panels themselves were painted.

The box is at least 17 pieces and fit like a glove when complete.

When I had a $500 budget for the install, I did not see fiberglass as an option.

That is unless, I wanted to actually pay for this guy’s install myself!

I know I was JK, after doing quite a few fiberglass items myself I would charge a friend at least $300 to do some glassed kicks, from a random hack prob in the $500 range.
