Midbass Suggestions

Post by dwnrodeo »

I'm new here and having some trouble deciding what midbass drivers to use for a new SQ setup. I'm torn between the Elite 9m's or a 8" sub such as an XS84dvc. I plan on using my Ti500.4 front channels to power a set of RDS 6.5 comps, and the rear channels (set to bandpass) to power the midbass. I'll also have a subwoofer which will be run off another amp. Also, could I wire the dvc 8" subs to 2 ohm and run them off of the rear channels while the front channels are 4ohm? I really enjoy the tight bass that comes from a kickdrum and plan on using my midbass for that. Any help is appreciated and I'm glad I found this fourm!

Seal up the RSD 6.5's properly and you won't need an 8.... trust me. They produce some serious kick.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll probably go with the RSD's and run two pairs off my Ti, the Focal's look to be a little out of my price range.
