Another install Q

Post by Pedi »

I have some Qs today, that makes me lay sleepless during the nights here at work  :

- Steve Meade.... His latest multi 18"-install... Anyone know his SPL-measure in that car now?

- Is he not loosing a few dBs since the elements are facing each other in a "tunnel"? I am mostly recomended to build a large wall (with the speakers) just behind the front seats for max dB.

- he also has the vent (reflex) out just behind front seats. In this case I also has been recomended to have the ports same way as the woofers for max dB... I also wonder why he did not have the 2 ports higher for not having the seats in the way?

And last but not least: I see that he has common box for multiple woofers. Back in my days, I was recomended one box for each element - so I have always done that. As I recall, not all woofers can be put in a multiple set up with common box. What factors can tell me if I can use my 12" woofers in a muliple setup with common box???

Pheeeww!! that was many Qs in one thread. I hope someone can answer some of theese Qs for me...

thanks...

Sorry I am retarded when it comes to building...I have my friends build for me! :P
But I am sure others will chime in and help ya! You can also go to steve meade's site, and ask him some questions. He's usually very friendly and likes to answer people's questions. He LOVES what he does....and LOVES to help others as well.

Steve is Steve. he had a purpose to it, probably space, layout, looks...

You have the basic knowledge go for your own setup, trial and error. it makes it more fun, the job will never be done, and you can respect it more because it was you

ya sometimes trial and error is harder for those that are less knowledgeable... IE (ME!!!!! ) i know nothing! Makes it easier when you have some ideas....(Sometimes!)
