Question about MS-2125

Post by nate737 »

Hey everybody. I have another question about amp choice again. I can get a MS-2125 for what I think to be a good deal. I love these amps as I used to run these back in the day. So my question is, if it is still in good working order, is it ok to buy and run amps this old or would you just spend the money on a newer amp.
Thank's.

I believe everyone here would say go for it. As long as you do the usual maintenance ie..cap replacements, etc, etc.

There are a couple of tutorials on here just do a search, or you could find someone else who can.

it all depends on how old of an amp are we talking about....first run 2125 or 10 year re-release....if its a 10 year one you dont need to do anything to it but drop it in....first run it just depends on how the amp is internally

i wouldnt pay for then 350 for one because thats the going rate...if you shop around you can find them for less....thats my 2 cents.

Ya if you pass on it....let us know where you can find it...there's a lot of us here who would be interested if you are not! :)
IMO pick it up if it's cheap! there's a few people here who could help you with finding a place to get it worked on. You can also send it to Phoenix Gold to have them check it out as well.
