Has anyone used a baffle on the 6.5's and like them?

I have heard about them, and people suggest them, but i have yet to try.. anyone have hands on (ears on) expirience with using a pair or two of the 6.5 baffles. like these here:

Those things just rattle and fart in my experience, though they make a good template for fiberglassing. Alternatively you can deaden them with modeling clay or sound deadener to make them a little more solid.

I did exactly what stipud is describing with the clay.

I think page 2 is about where I start yammering about the suggestion dedlyjedly gave me. At first I had shitty 3.5" kicker speakers installed in them but then I put in the RSd6cs and they sound really great all deadened and enclosed.

I tried baffles years ago, I didn't notice one bit of change.

Ah ha all good info... keep it up.. As it stnds now.. i'm not gonna fall for the banana in the tail pipe trick.. but would like simple easy way out of getting them to sound a lil better.. reading, researching and listening to others is what im doing now...
