Exhaust note.
Does the exhaust note of a healthy engine ruin the possibility of building an SQ system?

By "healthy" I presume you mean a loud and deep exhaust note
My truck is as loud as any V6 truck from the 90s but the exhaust note is nothing compared to a big american V8 with good pipes. I don't have any issue raising my volume above that of the road noise and exhaust, with it still being comfortable to listen and sound "good".
SQ will certainly suffer in a box on wheels with constant noise around it so I suppose it's up to you to decide if you actually can get enough SQ for your liking in a particular application.
If you've got a really powerful exhaust note, then I would suppose your SQ would be affected in the range of the note.

Not mine but pretty close to the same . Mine might be a little more radical.
