2 12'' xmax need power

Post by vato83 »

hey guys since some of you guys have had or have these 12'' xmax what would you use to power 2 12'' xmax and what enclouser would you recommend. i currently run a kx600.1 by kicker for both and they sound pretty good but im thinking they could do alot better the subs are wired parallel in a 1.75 ported box each and the spec on the amp are 600 watts rms x 1 @ 2 ohms
300 watts rms x 1 @ 4 ohms
2 ohms stable
thanks alot guys

ZX-500 baby! Run your subs in parallel to a ZX-500, they will be seeing an honest 350 watts RMS each and will knock your socks off. FYI, you should be able to find a clean ZX-500 in the $250 range. Good luck dude!

Ive run mine on an XS2500, then I switched to zx500's. I started with both bridged on a single amp, but that was quickly changed. I then ran one amp per sub, and it was the perfect match. They now share a ti1000.2, and it runs them great. Only problem is such a big ass A/B amp at 2 ohm. Its a good thing that i dont listen too loudly, as the RMD can dip into the high 12 volts on some notes.

Anyway, give them 500 each. They will love you for it.
