Amp Rack

Post by AVICJR »

I am about ready to install all my gear so I'm finallizing all my plans.I've always had my amps screwed directly to the back of my sub box.

My new plans are to slap an MDF board long enough to fit 2 X600.1's, but I was thinking instead of directly screwing the board to the box maybe putting a 2 or 3 3/4" slats (2" wide by the heigth of the box) in between the rack and the box so that the amp rack is not directly back to back with the box, this will also allow me to run some wire inbetween the rack and box.

Will this help deter some of the vibration on the amps? Any thoughts?
