Questions about Ti DEQ and setting up...
I'm looking at maybe down sizing my stereo set up, by getting rid of my 2 Ti EQ30, TLD 66, basscube, etc… My questions are:
1. I presently own a TLD 66, is there a need for it with a DEQ (it says no line driver in the owner manual)?
2. With a DEQ can you still put a Basscube, if yes, before or after the DEQ?
3. Is the DEQ that much better?
4. With a multiple amps set up is there a specific order or it doesn’t matter?
5. Is there a better generation of DEQ (or multiple versions) if yes which is the better one?

I have my Tideq for sale on ebay.co.uk there is also video footage of it.
as far as i know there were 2 revisions, a version 1 chip, and a version 2.2 chip
I'd put the basscube just before the sub amp.
Its only worth it if you want the exotic quality and want to play with the features. such as setting the 4 presets for 4 different music types. Time correction etc.
You dont need a line driver before this unit, the PG manual forbids it.

I used a PLD with mine, but it wasnt up to 8 volts. Just enough to help the weak outputs on my HU. If you have 4 volt pre outs on your head, sont worry about it.
I used a bass cube after the DEQ with no problems.
I woulod be sure to get the 2.2 chips in it. I believe they are the one that solves the blown tweeter problem. If it has 3.xxx, even better (chances are you will never see one though)
I think that the DEW was originally developed for people in your situation. Rather than running 2 EQ's, you can easily and quickly switch between them. Also, the t/a is a nice feature. If you compete, I think this would be a must have, as you can have each of the 4 settings fine tuned to a specific need (RTA, SQ, SPL modes durung competition). Also, its much easier to tune from your front seat than running back and forth from the trunk.

nice unit which does many things
run l/d after deq im using a tld 66 after the deq to my xenons as they want up to 8v
the deq does not want more than 4v in you will damage it if you do there is also a jumper conection inside to swop between 2v and 4v in if i remeber right(cant remeber where tho)
used 4 of them in diferent isaca installs over the years and nothing produced now even comes close for the money(alpine f1 but its a fortune)
the time alignment is very usefull if drivers are not idealy placed but can only do so much before it upsets the sound stage

I have 2 as well. Love the unit , there is very little which comes close, it would have been cool had it had more channels for input and output as well as phase and TA on each channel and X-Over like the Zapco , but then it was developed waaaaaaaaay before any of this was avail, as an EQ it is stunning.
TBH this is the stuff I would like to see comming out of PG in the future. RF has done it with their 360, and Zapco had done it as well.
