Re: good LORD these RSDC hit hard

how are the mids installed? lets see if we can get those up to the task of keeping up with the rsdcs now! the mids are nice, at least they seem so at first blush. like I said, the system isnt done being tuned though it does sound good at mid & low volumes but at high (30 of 40) things become ha...

good LORD these RSDC hit hard

finally have the camaro about 90% done - still need to finish up the trim pieces, hide some wires in the trunk and tune it... its close, sounds good at low volumes but at high volumes it just becomes noise, I need to play with the phase... though the frequency response is nearly dead flat, with just...

Re: A question I've always wondered the answer to..Power vs

its also a common misconception that a dual 2-ohm sub can only be run at 1 or 4 ohms. There is nothing wrong with running a single voice coil on a sub. Its actually not uncommon on some SQ setups to wire just a single VC to better tune the SQ of the subwoofer.

both... lining the trunk and doors, then whatever is left will be on the floors.

I will be cutting the mufflers out of the Camaro and running straight pipes this summer... that should be the real test.

what do you think the cable is doing, while it catches fire? technically it is welding. You do not want to see the sparks that car fly from 1/0 unfused.... lol - I was agreeing with you... 8) unfortunately I learned what a 1/0 looks like when it touches bare metal the "hard" way ... good ...

I have found the wiring and whatnot at KnuConcepts to be excellent stuff for a real reasonable price... certainly not cheap but by no means nearly as expensive as the Roadster I am running.

I think thats an over-dramatization... it would more than likely start a fire and burn the car to the ground long before it welded its self to the chassis.

I didnt have to, there are two different sized feet that hold the grill on, one is long enough to go through the rubber gasket. I chose to take it off just to make the grill a closer/tighter fit...

Grills for an RSDC

If anyone is looking for or needing grills for their RSDC 10 or 12, I found that the Alpine KTE-10WG and KTE-12WG grills fit perfectly. They have enough excursion for my ported Fosgate P3 and have plenty of room for the RSDC with the rubber gasket on (I have not tried to test fit without the gasket)...

Sounds like you let the smoke out of the speaker. Electronics works on smoke the same way your car runs on gas, with the exception that it is much much harder to put the magic smoke back in. Gains and bass bost all the way up? that was painful to read at work... without laughing out loud ...

I bought a fosgate 150s a little while back, not quite as nice and no end caps for $15.00 ... darn little thing pushes a 10 quite nicely but you can tell its internally bass-bosted.

I am thinking along the lines of the fakes too. Kingwood amps for 1.00, rockwood amps for 3.00 - cheap enough, even a bad knockoff can serve a purpose. lol!

if you had the chance to go to China, what electronics would you buy? Seems that most everything is made there... and I am wondering, are there build houses there that sell the exact gear that companies like Arc or JL or Alpine are buying pre-made and putting their name on? if you were going to go, ...

honestly - I hope that PG IS using UBUY, take a look at the processors, line drivers, etc... they have some decent looking stuff that would be great to start running... now it they would just make a 4-channel line driver, that would be great!

Ryan, Here is the rundown or the inside scoop of the changes for this year for woofers: Ti2 - Ti12 woofer was our top seller in terms of revenue last year, obviously R112 was top seller in terms of units. Some issues our dealers raised is that the Ti looks too similar to the R1 and R2. The more exp...
