No doubt, swapping speakers is definitely not the same kind of "tuning" as with active processors.

It's up to you to charge whatever you feel the materials and your time are worth. If it's going to be a regular thing don't extend yourself beyond where you are comfortable, obviously. If your time is worth say, $50 for cutting a decent sized decal be up front with it and see what the "market&q...

The "tunability" in these units can be somewhat controlled via the impedance of the drivers you select, right? Doesn't that change the xover points somewhat?

I've never personally run the Elite but the conventional wisdom on the phorum is the more powah, the better. I would avoid moving to a different amp with less power for the elite. Some people are throwing 2000W at one of them and they are loving it. People who don't put enough power on them are typi...

I like Apple stuff, but (I hope!) it's not a religion for me. We went back to Tofino for camping last weekend... first day was hell. It was pouring TONS of rain while I setup the tarps and tent. It's been a long time since I've been that wet from rain. A very long time. But after that, it got really nice for a day. These photos aren't special, but whatever. ht...

I was under the impression that most subwoofers and driver RMS ratings were based on thermal dissipation capabilities, not something arbitrary like "they need 500w to sound good" but I really don't know anything so please don't listen to me! Something along the lines of... 500W RMS rating ...

Do we have any PG dealers that post here? I'd be interested to hear from them but I suppose a dealer positing on a public forum about anything but great experiences might sour their relationship with AAMP so I don't know if we'll ever be able to hear a dealer post their gripes, if they have any.

The Ti1000.2 is a class A/B amp, if I recall correctly. Basically means it's less efficient than modern Class D sub amps and so it draws a lot of current. The manual is available here: http://download.phoenixphorum.com/Manuals/Amplifiers/Titanium/Ti1000_2Manual.pdf The recommended fuse size is 80A s...

I often see people post ideas that once the cap is drained, it then "robs" your amp of power it could be getting, and that is simply not true. So if you've got the bass boost knob cranked and some phat bass hammering the crap out of your charging system due to the massive amount of curren...

Sweet, then it sounds like you'll be ready to go once you get a rendering box, a good switch (not the $10 ones) and some cables.

Do you have somewhere to put the server where it won't be annoying you with it's loud fans and heat production? :D

Networking with a switch would be fine. Wireless for Internet would still work.

The 5600s are super popular because they scream.

What rendering software are you using? Does it have native built-in functionality for distributing rendering to remote systems?
